Your safety & rights

Advocacy & consent

Your right to make your own choices — and to have someone support you to do so.

You have the right to make decisions about your own care, and to have support to do so. This draft explains how we support informed consent, supported decision-making, and your access to advocacy.

Informed consent

  • Explained clearly

We explain your options in plain language, in English or Greek.

  • Understanding first

We make sure you understand before care begins.

  • Your questions

You can ask questions and take the time you need.

  • You can change your mind

You can withdraw a consent at any time.

  • Recorded with you

We record your decisions together with you.

Supported decisions & dignity of risk

  • Your goals first

We start from what matters to you.

  • Weighing choices

We help you consider the options and trade-offs.

  • Dignity of risk

We respect your right to take reasonable risks.

  • Your people involved

We involve the people you choose, and any substitute decision-maker appropriately.
